Most e-bikes on the market, such as models from the Hiboy series, use 48V batteries. Therefore, a 200W solar panel is suitable for charging 48V e-bike batteries.

There are three steps to charge an e-bike using solar power:

Connect the charge controller to the solar panel.
Set the charge controller to the proper output voltage, then connect it to the e-bike battery.
Check if the charging indicator light turns on, and verify the battery status on the e-bike dashboard to confirm normal charging.

When purchasing solar charging equipment, you must understand the differences between various voltage and power specifications. Otherwise, you will easily get confused by overwhelming product information.

The simplest charging solution for e-bikes: use your original AC-powered factory charger, powered by electricity converted through an inverter.
